Your customers search for you online. What do they find?
Before customers walk in, many people search online. For your trade and your town, such as ‘bakker Groningen’ (baker Groningen). What they find helps them choose where to walk in.

Someone wants fresh bread, a new bike tyre or a painter. They pick up their phone and type what they are looking for and where: ‘bakker Groningen’, ‘fietsenmaker open zaterdag’ (bike repair open Saturday).
In the US, 98% of the consumers surveyed looked online for information about local businesses in 2022 (BrightLocal, 2023)¹. This survey measures nothing for the Netherlands, but it is probably no different here.
What does a customer see if you have no website?
Often very little. A pin on the map, perhaps with opening hours that are no longer right. No prices, no photos of what you sell. Above you are businesses that do have a website, with everything the customer wants to know.
This is what that looks like side by side:
Example, all names made up
Someone searches Google for ‘bakker Eindhoven’ (Dutch for ‘baker Eindhoven’)
Baker A stands out first.
Your own details, with buttons to call and get directions.
Someone asks an AI assistant
The AI names baker B.
The AI can mention your own information.
An example of what an AI assistant could say. What it says exactly differs per question.
What do they see if you do have a website?
Your own details. What time you are open, what you sell and what it costs. With one tap they call you or plan a route. Such a website does not promise a place at the top. But customers do find what they are looking for there, from you yourself.

What we promise
What Google or an AI assistant answers depends on the question. We don’t decide that. What we do: put your details online so that search engines and AI assistants can find and read them. If someone asks a question that fits your business, your business can appear in the answer.
